Maggie (GCH CH Shasta’s Marguerite May FDC BCAT ATT)

Maggie was intended to raise with my grandkids, she became the best family dog we’ve ever owned. Smart, biddable, playful and even tempered, Maggie joined a household of adults, kids, an Aussie and 2 Yorkies. After many compliments on Maggie’s looks and temperament, she entered the colorful world of dog show conformation. We were a bit late to the ring as Maggie earned her first points the eve of the COVID shut down (March 2020). Upon re-entry in late spring of 2022, Maggie, quickly finished with 3 majors, 16 pts. Maggie earned her AKC Temperament Test (ATT) and Farm Dog Certification (FDC) in September 2022. She completed Grand Champion Title in December 2022. Maggie has all healther clearances and CHIC number available on AKC.org. She’s whelped 2 litters and absolutely loves puppies, kids and other animals.

Angus (GCH CH Blacfriar The Sky Is The Limit RN JH FDC DCAT CGC TKN ATT WC)

Angus (GCH CH Blacfriar The Sky Is The Limit) is our beautiful boy - Our gentle big boy is extremely biddable - he does whatever I ask of him: conformation, rally, hunt, CGC, FCAT, tricks, dock dive, wear a costume, and he provides therapy dog comfort to women in recovery. Angus aims to please. He’s named The Sky Is The Limit, after the Fleetwood Mac’s song and I “flew across the sky” to get him! His call name Angus reflects his big beefy stature and our county’s resident cows. Angus is affectionate, biddable, eager to please and learn . When Angus isn’t being a great family dog, he’s training for our next adventure. He earned his AKC Temperament Test (ATT) and Farm Dog Certification (FDC) in September 2022, BCAT in October, 2022 and was titled as Grand Champion in November, 2022. Angus earned his CGC and RN summer of 2023. He’s added TKN, JH WC to his pedigree in 2025. He’s also cleared Health related screens with excellent hips and a CHIC number available on AKC.org.   • Frankie ( CH GCH Quail Run's Frankly Sentimental RN, BCAT, CGC, TKN)

    Born April 17, 2023 our newest Quail Run Flat Coat is our baby girl Frankie - She’s Maggie’s and Angus’ pup - here to make a splash in our family dog world. Pictured here with Mama Maggie at 22 months, just after winning her Grand Champion Title. She’s in training for conformation & rally. After starting BPUP with 4/4 group 1 wins. Frankie achieved her champion title at 16 months with limited shows., and then her Grand Champion Title with 11 of 13 wins in very few shows. She's a smart, sweet girl - in Spring of 2025 she’s cleared all her health exams with excellent hips, and a CHIC number. She also picked up RN, CGC and TKN titles within 4 weeks. We love her sweet nature, svelte silhouette and eagerness to please. She’ll head to the whelping box at her next season - sometime in summer 2025.

    Teddy, Blacfriar's Bewitched, pictured here at 2 years after 3 Best of Breed wins in 7 days during fall of 2024. Teddy is an affectionate, smart and fun loving boy! He's a wonderful family dog who aims to please and charms everyone he meets. Teddy also runs agility and is our planned stud for Frankie - doubling down on the Blacfriar health, temperament, bone, coat and bid-ability. Teddy’s been on a roll, picking up titles in rally, FCAT, Farm Dog and Canine Good Citizen. He’s cleared for health with excellent hips and a CHIC number..     Piper - pictured on the right, winning Best of Breed is an amazing girl - she's an exceptional girl bred by dear friend, Phil Sunseri of Clear Creek Kennel in Reno. Piper is known as Clear Creek Life of Piper. Eight Angus x Piper puppies arrived just after midnight on November 3, 2024. The Angus X Piper litter is all black, and join the lucky Flat-Coated Retrievers who steal everyone's heart.
